Sandpipers Hotel in Freshwater
Bay is a spacious Victorian building built in the 1860's
as a temperance hotel. It nestles in a sheltered spot
only 50 yards from the waters edge. This family run establishment
makes guests feel totally at home and encourages them
to relax in the lounge with a favourite drink from one
of the bars and a good book from the library or on chilly
nights see a log fire to snooze by.
In the evening guests can relax in the 'Fat Cat Bar' or
enjoy an exquisite meal in the restaurant 'Fat Cat on the
Bay' set in a garden of fountains, waterfalls and ponds.
Specialising in home-cooked Aga-baked food - the chef is
renowned on the Island for his traditional dishes, hampers
and snacks.
Sandpipers offer table d'hote and a la carte menus where "Homemade
