Old Mill Holiday Park is located in the
hillside running down to Bembridge Harbour in the East
Wight village of St Helens. Located in easy walking distance
of St Helens Duver, this is an ideal base to explore this
unique harbour area, ideal for anyone wishing for a peaceful
holiday in clean, quality accommodation, enjoying a warm
sheltered position where Solent shipping can be seen from
the park.
Both local beaches are pleasant natural
beaches with sandy areas that provide good bathing. Bembridge
Harbour attracts a wide variety of bird life and the park
is a haven for wildlife facilitated by native hedges, mature
trees, butterfly gardens and nesting boxes. The park
is part of the David Bellamy Scheme, achieving the gold
award. There is an ongoing scheme to plant drought tolerant
species to help cut down water use on site.
As well as providing quality caravan and chalet accommodation
(much of which is centrally heated), there is a play area,
launderette, games room and the site is a wireless broadband
hotspot. There is a reduction in tariff for 2 week bookings
and guests arriving without cars. Some of the new cabins
and decking is made from recycled plastic (Extrudawood).
Accommodation is available all year and all accommodation
is non-smoking.
