The Isle of Wight is between 1-2 hours from London and all major airports, 5 hours from Paris or Brussels and easily accessable from all other UK destinations. With over 350 crossings a day from Portsmouth, Southampton or Lymington it couldn't be easier, and once you're here there are plenty of options for getting about.
