You can decorate your own
colourful hand made pottery with a real hands on
experience at our working pottery at Chessel, situated
in the heart of beautiful National Trust Land to
the west side of the Isle of Wight. People of all
ages visit to make gifts and mementoes, throw a party,
browse the pottery gifts or just meet friends for
coffee.
The pottery makes its own 'Chessell
Ware' which is produced in the studio or have a go
yourself in our popular pottery decorating studio.
Our pottery shapes are either our own designs hand
made on the Island or they are bought in exclusively
from Emma Bridgewater. The well stocked gift shop offers
an exciting array of gifts and mementos. You could
stay for lunch or a cream tea in the peaceful courtyard
cafe. The café serves Fair Trade beverages and
organic squash for the kiddies.
