HILLSIDE HOTEL
The Hillside Hotel is Ventnor’s
oldest and only thatched cottage, nestled at the foot of
St Boniface Down in two acres of grounds. This hotel is
full of charm and character and has had its fair share
of more famous guests, including Charles Dickens.
The hotel
is part of the Wight Merit Group, specialising in walking
holidays on the wight. The food cooked and served here
is second to none, with specialist diets catered for. Dogs

hotel is working towards sustainability through local and
seasonal purchasing or provisions, recycling, effective
