Heathfield Farm is a small family
camping site located in the rural West Wight on the outskirts
of Freshwater village, and less than 2 miles from Yarmouth
ferry port. Heathfield has maintained a naturally
green environment to encourage wild life and rare flora
and fauna and its indigenous tree planting scheme attracts
many different bird and small mammal species. Heathfield
Farm is set in nine acres of unspoilt countryside.
The Park is level, with easy access to
the sixty well-spaced marked pitches, thirty of which have
electric hook-ups. There is a wild flower meadow around
which dog owners can exercise their pets, while the separate
playing field, ideal for ball games, also has special BBQ
areas.
Fishing, golf, horse riding, sailing and
other water sports are all available nearby. The park is
also a great starting point for exploring the surrounding
countryside on foot or by bike. A special information and
map board highlights nearby rambles - colour-coded to suit
how much time and energy there is to spare!
