Harbour View Hotel is probably one of
the most photographed and painted buildings on the Island,
due to its stunning sea view location overlooking Ventnor
Harbour, this fine Victorian house, dating from 1840, is
full of great character and charm. This hotel takes advantage
of its situation, nestled in a South facing cliff to use
passive solar thermal heating.
The land to the rear is home to the rare wall lizard and
the management of this area reflects this. Island produce
is used in the cooked breakfasts where possible along with
local services. Most correspondence is carried out electronically
and links to local public transport providers are provided
for guests wishing to arrive without their cars. The hotel
is part of the Wight Merit Group of hotels, offering walking
holiday packages.
This is an adults only, no smoking establishment with
off-road parking facilities. Each hotel guest room is en-suite
and most have an excellent sea view.
