Frenchman's Cove is the most westerly-located
guest accommodation on the Isle of Wight, set in the
countryside alongside Tennyson Down, with fantastic views
of The Solent, Headon Warren and Afton Downs. The
main hotel, set in an acre of secluded grounds, has 8
ensuite bedrooms, 2 family suites and a self-contained
self catering apartment in the grounds and has a reputation
for good food, using local produce where possible.
The Needles at Alum Bay are located within two kilometres,
with the beaches of Totland Bay and Freshwater Bay within
three kilometres. Frenchman's Cove is surrounded by footpaths
enabling ramblers to keep off the roads and appreciate
the local countryside with magnificent views.
Not far away is the town of Yarmouth and the river Yar
with plenty of birds to keep ornithologists happy. In the
spring and summer the flowers are a delight to see, as
are the butterflies.
